TrackTown Tuesday features UO jumpers, OTC Elite 800m women, Prefontaine Classic meet director

Olympic silver medalist and World Indoor champion Francine Niyonsaba will headline the May 1 edition of TrackTown Tuesday.

Niyonsaba, who specializes in the 800 meters, will be joined by teammates Hanna Green and Shea Collinsworth. A cadre of University of Oregon jumpers will also highlight the evening. The Ducks will be represented by four horizontal jumpers and one high jumper: Damarcus Simpson, Chaquinn Cook, Rhesa Foster, Tristan James, and Ben Milligan. Prefontaine Classic Meet Director Tom Jordan will open the night to talk about this year’s event.

The evening will be hosted by TrackTown USA President Vin Lananna and Sasha Spencer Atwood, the Director of External Affairs at TrackTown USA, will be the emcee. The popular town hall meetings are free and open to the public. Doors open at 6 p.m. for a social hour, followed by the one-hour show at 7 p.m.
