Dates Set for 2017 Season of TrackTown Tuesdays

EUGENE, Ore. – TrackTown Tuesday begins its 11th consecutive year of connecting local track and field athletes and coaches with members of the Eugene-Springfield community on January 10 with a celebration of the 2016 cross country season.

The popular town hall meetings are held each month in the third floor ballroom at the Downtown Athletic Club. They are free and open to the public. Doors open at 6 p.m. for a social hour, followed by the one-hour show at 7 p.m.

TrackTown USA President Vin Lananna serves as host of the event, while Sasha Spencer Atwood takes over as emcee. Spencer Atwood, the director of external affairs at TTUSA, was a track star at North Salem High and Georgetown University before competing professionally for Nike from 2001-08.

The TrackTown Tuesday dates for 2017 are as follows:

  • January 10
  • February 7
  • March 7
  • April 4
  • May 2
  • June 6 (Hayward Field)

From humble beginnings in the spring of 2007, TrackTown Tuesdays have grown into a highly anticipated event each month with special guests from the collegiate and professional ranks, exclusive video, random prize drawings and insider information.

Appetizers from the DAC and pints of beer poured by Hop Valley Brewing Company will be available for purchase at each show. Stay tuned for more information on the guest lineup for the inaugural show of 2017 on January 10
